GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – It was announced on Monday, Sep. 24 that Penn State Harrisburg soccer player Charlie Hyson (Bel Air, Md. / Calvert Hall) was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Sunday, Sep. 23.
The senior keeper picked up two victories in goal this past week, both crucial conference wins. In the matches against Keuka and Wells on Saturday, Sep. 22 and Sunday, Sep. 23, Hyson made nine saves and allowed just one score which came on a penalty kick. The Maryland native racked up an impressive .900 save percentage and his stellar defense helped improve the Lions to 3-0 in NEAC play.
