Penn State Harrisburg Wins Fourth-Straight; Henderson Scores Two More

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team is on their first hot streak of the season.  The Lions 4-0 win against Valley Forge Christian on Tuesday, Sep. 25 made it a four-game streak and improved the blue and white to 5-3 on the season.

The team's most recent outing saw some different faces in the starting lineup but the end result would not be any different.  Nana Nyanteki (Howell, N.J. / Freehold Township) started things off for the Lions with the only first half score, grabbing his first goal of the season.

Justin Henderson (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) continued his scoring ways by adding two more goals, bringing his season total to six.  Tommy Miller's (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra) hard work earned him his second goal of the season.  The three combined scores from Miller and Henderson in the second half gave the Lions another boost of confidence as well as a 4-0 win.

"Every game, every opponent presents their own set of challenges and opportunities," said Penn State Harrisburg Head Coach Seamus Donnelly.  "I thought we did what we needed to do today in a very competent and confident manner."

"The performance was a little better than Sunday's and now tomorrow's practice has to be a little better than today's game," he continued.  "That's the way we operate here and it's how we'll approach this important weekend."

An important weekend it certainly is. The Lions head north to New York to face North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) foes SUNY IT and SUNY Cobleskill on their first overnight trip of the season.  The blue and white will look to stay undefeated in conference play.
