LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's Josh Africa earned United East Men's Golfer of the Year honors thanks to winning the conference's individual championship at Clinton County Country Club on Saturday, April 29.
Due to impending weather, the championship event originally scheduled for two days was adjusted to include all 36 holes on Saturday. Africa shot a -3 (143) to capture the individual championship and become the third player in program history to earn conference golfer of the year accolades. The senior also secured United East All-Conference First-Team honors in the process. His second round effort on Saturday matched the second-lowest single-round score in program history.
Matthew Redman and Ian Martin shot identical two-round scores of +13 (159), while Laksmana Ramroop carded a 187 and Tyler Sullivan rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg competitors with a 195.
