Middletown Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg golf team hosted the 2016 Penn State Harrisburg Fall Invitational over the last two days at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club. The Lion's finished first in the tournament with an overall score of 593 (+17).

Top Penn State Harrisburg performers

Penn State Harrisburg was paced by junior Keith Miller as he shot a one-under-par overall to place second in the tournament. Miller finished day one with 73 and then improved on day two with a score of 70.

Senior Tyler Shank finished the tournament in seventh place with an overall score of 147 (+3). Shenk shot a 75 on day one and then improved on day two with a 72.
 

Matthew Hoare was the next Harrisburg finisher, tied overall for 11th place at 151 (+7). Hoare struggled on day one at 79 but came out strong for the second day with a score of 72.

Newcomer Allison Cooper was the fourth Harrisburg scorer as she shot a 154 (+10) for the Blue and White. Cooper had a strong day one with a score of 76, and finished day two at 78.
 
Head Coach Malcolm Jackson stated, "I'm proud of every member of the team today! It's nice to see their hard work and dedication being paid off with a team win. My hope is that this performance helps them in their process of building a belief system that supports their individual talent."

Penn State Harrisburg returns to action on Sunday September 26th and 27th. The Lion's will travel to Christopher Newport for the Bay Creek Invitational.
