LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his efforts in a victory on Tuesday night, Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball player Donyae Baylor-Carroll has been named the United East Volt Division Defensive Player of the Week.

It is the second conference defensive player of the week honor for Baylor-Carroll this season after he earned the same recognition earlier this month (11/13).

Baylor-Carroll's play aided Penn State Harrisburg in an 80-73 comeback victory over Messiah in the team's lone outing of the week. In the win, the senior guard netted a game-high 22 points, including 18 in the second half, on 50 percent shooting from the field to go along with a team-high four assists. The Harrisburg, Pa. native continued to be pesky on the defensive end as well, swiping a game-high six steals.

In the victory, Baylor-Carroll became just the third player in program history to surpass the 1,500-point mark for his career. His 1,515 career points currently ranks him third all-time among Penn State Harrisburg players.

The Lions (5-1) open conference play when they travel to United East foe Penn College on Tuesday night.
