BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team used a balanced attack to roll to an 84-64 victory at Bridgewater (Va.) in the squad's first true road game of the season on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 20.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Penn State Harrisburg (5-1) got double-digit scoring efforts from four players in the team's 20-point win at Bridgewater (Va.) (2-2) on Saturday afternoon. Donyae Baylor-Carroll led the way with a game-high 23 points, while Dylan Daniels recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Nate Curry also posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards and Brandon Coleman netted a dozen points of his own.
Baylor-Carroll did the heavy lifting in the opening half, netting 16 of the Lions' 36 first-half points. With the game tied at 11-11 in the early going, the visitors used a 15-4 run capped by back-to-back Baylor-Carroll 3-balls to open up a 26-15 advantage at the 5:14 mark. A Zegary Scott III jump shot pushed the lead to 13 two minutes later and after the Eagles made a late push to cut the deficit to six, Baylor-Carroll closed out the half with an acrobatic layup at the buzzer that made it 36-28 at the break.
The Blue & White started to pour it on early in the second half, using a 16-6 run over the course of a 5:18 span to stretch the lead to 52-34 with 14:42 left to play. The home team drew to within 11 at the 12:25 mark but Penn State Harrisburg got back-to-back buckets from Daniels and Malik Holland to halt the Eagles' momentum.
The Lions took their largest lead of the afternoon when Baylor-Carroll connected on his fifth and final triple of the day to make it 72-48 with 6:05 remaining. Layups from Curry, Daniels, and Coleman kept the advantage at 24 in the closing minutes of the second half and Kobe Petrovich put a cap on the team's scoring with a jumper with less than 20 seconds to play.

- Penn State Harrisburg shot 40 percent from 3-point range, while the Eagles shot just 19.2 percent from distance.
