Bing Named CAC Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to his outstanding efforts in the team's most-recent pair of victories, Penn State Harrisburg's Chris Bing has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior recorded a pair of double-doubles in as many outings to lead the Lions (6-1) to victories over Immaculata on Monday night and Messiah on Saturday afternoon. Bing netted a team-high 21 points on 60-percent shooting, pulled in a game-best 16 rebounds, dished out five assists and blocked two shots in the hotly-contested road win at Immaculata. The big man followed it up with 16 points on 80-percent shooting to go along with a game-high 10 boards, two steals and an assist in just 19 minutes of action in the team's 80-54 rout of Messiah over the weekend. For the week, Bing averaged 18.5 points on 68-percent shooting from the field, as well as 13 rebounds, three assists, 1.5 steals and one block per contest.

Bing and the rest of the Blue & White return to action when they host local foe Elizabethtown at the Capital Union Building on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
