Blue and White  End Season with Two Strong Wins

St. Mary's City, MD – Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball finished their season in style with two double digit wins in the final week of play.  The Lions did not hit all their goals this season, but with the majority of players returning, proved to themselves that the road ahead is looking much brighter.  Harrisburg defeated the Seahawks 71-55 on Saturday February 17th

How it Happened:

Penn State Harrisburg started strong with a 19-10 run over the first ten minutes of play.  This gave the Blue and White a level of comfort that they were able to hold throughout the game.  St. Mary's was able to cut the lead to four a few minutes later, but the Lions responded with another strong run and took a twenty point half time lead.

They Seahawks got as close as ten in the second half, but the hope was short lived.  Harrisburg continued their dominate play until the final whistle and claimed the win and battle for 9th place with a 71-55 result. 

 

Impact Performance:

Chris Bing (PSH) – 15 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks

Anthony Bennett Jr. (PSH) – 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals

 

What's Next:

The Lions will miss out of the CAC playoffs, but showed signs of great things to come next season.
