Lions Rally Comes Up Short

Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team continued to show flashes of brilliance against the 5-1 DeSales Bulldogs on Monday December 4th.  Unfortunately, their first half effort and shot percentage from the visitors allowed for too large of a lead to overcome, despite a very well fought second half from the Lions.

Harrisburg came out with intensity in the second half, but struggled to make up any ground.  The Bulldogs started to get nervous as the Blue and White used a 22-6 run over a ten-minute stretch to bring the score to 54-48 with 3:02 to play.

In the end, the clock was against the home team and DeSales hit their free throws in the final minute to keep the game just out of reach.  The Bulldogs claimed their sixth win of the year 66-60.

Impact Performance:

Kahlill Williams and Tariq Bennett brought big sparks to the second half comeback attempt. .  Williams led the team in scoring with 16 points and also had ten rebounds while Bennett scored ten, including a five-point run of his own in the eighth minute that really changed the momentum in their favor.
