Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team grabbed their first conference win of the new year against Southern Virginia on Thursday January 5th. Khalil White led for Harrisburg with 19 points to lead the Lion's past the Knights 66-55.

-The first ten minutes of the match up showed both teams struggling to find the basket with a combined total of only 19 points. Khalil White's jumper in the 9th minute put the Lion's up 13-10 followed by a layup by Marquese Daniels.
-The visitors regained the lead with three minutes to go before Jazmon Harris sank a three to tie the game up at 23 points each. Daniels followed in his footsteps with a three-point jump shot right before the half the give Harrisburg a two-point lead at the half
-The Knights started the half on an 8-0 run before Harris responded with his own six point run to put Harrisburg back on track. The game remained a tight race before Khalil White extended Harrisburg's lead to ten points with 5 minutes to go with a three of his own. Harrisburg remained strong throughout the last 5 minutes to record their second conference win of the season
