Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball faced off against a strong Desales team Monday December 19, 2016. From the starting minutes, the Lions found out it was going to be a long night falling behind early and struggling to get back on track throughout the game.
Penn State Harrisburg Starters:
Brown, Daniels, Nelson, Beard, Pitcher

Fishburne, Ciotti, Dalton, Barron, House
How it Happened:
After Desales started the first 12 minutes with a 29-8 run, things did not get any better for the Lions. The Bulldogs never stopped the pressure and the game moved quickly as the home team went into half with up 45-22. Hoping to turn things around in the second half, Harrisburg couldn't find a way to get a few stops or outshoot the home team enough to lessen the margin. After a mentally and physically grueling contest for Penn State, Desales claimed a 91-56 win.
Inside the numbers:
The Bulldogs dominated most of the stat line and shot an impressive 50% from the field. The Lions only took the advantage from the three-point arc, shooting 8-25 to Desales 7-16.
Impact Performers:
Desales had stellar performances, but despite the score used a team effort in the quality effort. Slanger led the Bulldogs with 15, while the Lions were led by Ryan Bollinger who came off the bench for 12.
What's Next:
Penn State Harrisburg will take a break until 2017 when they head to the F&M New Year's Classic on January 2nd to face off against Case Western University (3-4).
