Penn State Harrisburg Dominates on the Road Against Frostburg

Frostburg, Md.- Wednesday February 3rd, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team took on Frostburg State in a much needed win for the Lions. The Bobcats fought for an early lead but Harrisburg stood strong and went on to win 80-71.

The home team led for the first few minutes of the game but this early lead did not discourage the Lions. With the Bobcats leading, 16-9, Senior Anthony Morgan (York, Pa. / New Hope Academy) stepped up and drove to the basket. Morgan's basket was good and he also went on to make his free throw, bringing Harrisburg 5 points behind. With less than ten minutes to go in the first, Jourdon Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) sank two back to back baskets to tie the game up for the first time. Jazmon Harris (Baltimore, Md. / Patterson) hit two straight three pointers to give Harrisburg the lead for the first time. Moments later, Morgan knocked down two more baskets to extend Harrisburg's lead, 31-23. The Lions led, 39-29, at halftime.
 
Harrisburg continued to play well offensively throughout the second half. Several players stepped up in the opening minutes to give the Lions the largest lead of the day, 57-49, with eleven minutes to go. Frostburg State responded to Harrisburg's lead with nine straight points in an attempt to tie the game up. With only five minutes to go, the Bobcats were able to bring the game within six points of the Lions. Harrisburg stayed strong defensively and continued to lead for the remainder of the game. Harris led the charge for the blue and white with 18 points and four rebounds. Morgan added 16 points of his own along with eight rebounds.
 
Penn State Harrisburg will host Southern Virginia on Saturday February 6th. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm. Harrisburg will also be hosting its 3rd Annual Orange 4 Owen event.
