Jason Noll: The Man Behind the Microphone

Jason Noll: The Man Behind the Microphone

MIDDLETOWN, PA- For seven years, Jason Noll has worked with the athletics department at Penn State Harrisburg as the athletic event announcer.

Noll started announcing only at basketball games but was later offered the opportunity to announce for all home games at Penn State Harrisburg. If Noll were to describe his experience at Penn State Harrisburg, he would describe it as simply fun.

"My favorite part of my job is bringing an atmosphere to each game for every sport.  I like to make it fun for both the players and the fans and want everyone to have an enjoyable and fun experience at our home games, "said Noll. Both fans and athletes can always count on Noll for his energetic presence at an athletic event. His positive energy and infamous voice has kept the crowd's spirits high for years and he looks forward keeping this up for the near future.

"I enjoy trying to keep the energy level up both during the game and during time outs and hopefully giving our teams a "home-field" advantage," said Noll.

Noll described how he enjoys working with everyone in the athletics department along with the student-athletes. He also mentioned a word of advice to all student-athletes at PSH. "To student-athletes, I would advise them to play each game with the love and passion that they have for the game.   Play the game because you love the sport and always play to the best of your ability no matter what point of the season you are or how tough the opponent seems to be," said Noll regarding student-athletes.

Noll's most memorable experience in his announcing career was the opportunity to announce the PSH Men's Soccer ECAC playoff game that was hosted at Hershey Park Stadium in November of 2014.

If Noll isn't announcing at an athletic event, he can be spotted at Philadelphia Soul's football game. He has been a season-ticket holder since 2006 and never misses a game. He enjoys the unique and fast-paced environment of Soul's games and always looks forward to attending each and every game.
