Nittany Lions Dealt Loss by Susquehanna

Selinsgrove, Pa.- Sunday November 29, the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team traveled to non-conference opponent Susquehanna this evening. Harrisburg was looking to get their fifth win of the year against the Crusaders. The Lions fought hard throughout the game but came up short, losing 72-58.

Both teams battled back and forth throughout the first half and several Lions helped Harrisburg come out strong. Junior Austin Chimuma (Bowie, Md. / Annapolis Area Christian) started it off for Harrisburg with the first layup of the game.  A few minutes later, Jourdon Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) hit two back to back jump shots to bring Harrisburg within two of the Crusaders. Senior Anthony Morgan (York, Pa. / New Hope Academy) led in the first half with nine points. Susquehanna led going into half time by 10 points. 

In the first ten minutes of the second half, Susquehanna began to pull away by leading 64-43. Penn State Harrisburg did not led this lead stop them from making a respectable come back in the second half. Junior Marquese Daniels (Philadelphia, Pa. / Philadelphia Electric & Technology Charter) and Jazmon Harris (Baltimore, Md. / Patterson) each came up big with a three pointer to shorten the gap to only 13 points behind Susquehanna. Daniels made three back to back shots for Harrisburg. Overall, Morgan led for the Lions with 13 points and five rebounds. Close behind was Harris with 10 points and three rebounds. 

Up next for the men is their first conference game of the year. Harrisburg will host Frostburg State on Wednesday December 2nd at pm. Penn State Harrisburg will be hosting a double header as well as their annual Roar-Zone game.
