Penn State Harrisburg Announces 2015-2016 CAC All-Academic TeamJune 28, 2016Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.

Senior Jazmon Harris and sophomores Kahlil Williams and Clinton Asalu will be leading the Lion’s next season both on and off the court.

Harrisburg Comes up Short Against the EaglesFebruary 20, 2016Middletown, Pa.- Saturday February 20th, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team hosted Mary Washington for their final game of the regular season. The Eagles came out strong in the first half with Harrisburg struggling to put points on the board. The Lions dominated the last ten minutes of the second half and made an incredible effort to bring home a win. Mary Washington went on to win 77-63.

Harrisburg Falls in Last Regular Season Road GameFebruary 17, 2016Dover, DE- Wednesday February 17th, after a difficult loss on Saturday to St. Mary’s (Md.) tonight the Penn State Harrisburg mens basketball team looked to get a win on the road against Wesley. The Lions stayed strong throughout the first half but struggled to slow down the Wolverines in the second, Harrisburg fell 73-52.

St. Mary's Stops the LionsFebruary 13, 2016St. Mary's, Md.- Saturday February 13th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team hit the road to take on Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) opponent St. Mary's (Md.). For most of the game the score was tied with each team battling back and forth to regain the lead. Harrisburg held off the Seagulls for most of the game but fell in the final minutes 65-56.

Lions Drop Heartbreaker to the SaintsFebruary 10, 2016Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday February 10th the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team hosted the Marymount Saints. The Lions were looking to win their fourth straight conference game. The visitors took an early lead but Harrisburg battled back until the last 30 seconds where the Saints scored last and took home the win, 63-62.

The Bobcats fought for an early lead but Harrisburg stood strong and went on to win 80-71.

Salisbury got an early lead on the Lions, making it difficult for Harrisburg to catch back up. The Sea Gulls went on to win 82-56.

No. 9 Newport Too Much For HarrisburgJanuary 30, 2016Newport News, Va.- Saturday January 30th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team hit the road to take on nationally ranked Christopher Newport. The Lions struggled to defend Newport who is currently in first place in the conference. Newport went on to win 90-41.

The Lions dominated the first half followed by both teams battling back and forth throughout the second half. The Spartans were able to get the last basket, defeating Harrisburg, 54-52.

The Lions dominated the Seahawks throughout the first half but came up short in the second. St. Mary’s went on to win 73-67.

Sodini Leads Harrisburg Past The SaintsJanuary 13, 2016Arlington, Va.- Wednesday January 13, after a win against Southern Virginia on Saturday, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team looked to get their fifth conference win tonight against Marymount (Va.). With ten lead changes throughout the game, it was easy to see both teams wanted to get the win. Harrisburg stood strong and proved to be the better team by winning 82-75.

Alumni Spotlight: Kenton AlstonJanuary 12, 2016MIDDLETOWN, PA- Penn State Harrisburg alumni, Kenton Alston obtained his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2012. Alston was known for being a well-rounded student and overall good person. He played basketball for PSH along with running cross country. He was also a member of the Criminal Justice Club, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Chi Gamma Iota Veterans Fraternity.

During the first half, both teams battled back and forth to stay on top but Harrisburg pulled away in the second half to get their fourth conference win of the year, 71-64.

The Captains were also in first place in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) with Harrisburg right behind them in second. Both teams battled back and forth but Christopher Newport came out on top, 77-65.

Senior Spotlight: Anthony MorganJanuary 04, 2016MIDDLETOWN, Pa.-Anthony Morgan is a senior studying Political Science and International Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg. Morgan is a member of the men’s basketball team along with the Greek fraternity Phi Kappa Sigma. When Morgan isn’t playing on the court, he can be seen working out in the weight room, doing homework or playing video games like Fifa and NBA 2k.

The Spartans led for the first few minutes of the first half but the Lions pulled ahead and went on to lead for the majority of the game. The home team made on last effort in the second half to come back but Harrisburg stayed strong and won 76-72.

Harris Leads Harrisburg Over WashingtonDecember 11, 2015Middletown, Pa.- Friday December 11th, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team hosted Washington College for their last non-conference match of the year. The Lions were coming off a big win on Wednesday night against ranked Salisbury. Harrisburg led at halftime and went onto to dominate the second half, winning 79-66.

Penn State Harrisburg Beats No. 21 Salisbury in OTDecember 09, 2015Salisbury, Md.- Wednesday December 9th, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team faced No. 21 Salisbury. The men played well both offensively and defensively in the first half and second half. Both teams were tied at the end of regulation and Penn State Harrisburg went on to defeat Salisbury, 66-63 after one overtime period.

Penn State Harrisburg Falls to Mary WashingtonDecember 05, 2015Fredericksburg, Va.- Saturday December 5th, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team headed out of town to take on Mary Washington. The Lions were coming off of their first conference win against Frostburg State. Harrisburg struggled in the first half but stepped up in the second half by outscoring the Eagles. Mary Washington’s first half lead was too much for Harrisburg, the Eagles won 82-61.

The men came out strong but both teams battled back and forth throughout the game. Harrisburg proved to be the better team and defeated the Bobcats 82-81.

Penn State Harrisburg Suffer First Defeat at CornellNovember 24, 2015Ithaca, N.Y. – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday November 23rd when they traveled to face Division I Cornell University. After staying in contention early, Cornell eventually wore down the Lions for a 76-47 win.
