Penn State Harrisburg Loses a Hard Fought Battle Against the U.S. Naval Academy

Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Annapolis Md. to face the United States Navel Academy. The Lions fell short after a big run at the start of the second half from Navy losing by a score of 42-67.

In the first half the Lions started off strong hanging taking a 5-0 lead in the first minute.  Harrisburg stayed within one point multiple times during the half but a few late baskets from Navy allowed them to go into the locker room up 21-16.
Coming out in the second half the Blue and White came out slow allowing Navy to jump up by 10 by the first media timeout five minutes into the second half. After that point the two teams battled back and forth the rest of the game until the last few minutes when Navy was able to increase their lead when the Lions pushed a little to hard trying to make a come back.  Navy finshed the game with a 67-42 win.

Leading the Lions was sophomore Winton Lyle (Washington, D.C./ Bullis School).  Lyle put in his best performance of the season scoring 12 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and added one block to his impressive night, all of which were season highs.  Alberto De Los Santos (East Pennsboro, Pa/ East Pennsboro) also played strong finishing with nine points and two rebounds.

The Lions will next be in action on Wednesday December 3rd at 8 P.M. following the Women's game when rival York College (Pa.) comes to town.  It is also Penn State Harrisburg's 3rd annual Costume Night at the CUB and should make for a great first Capital Athletic Conference match up.
