KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – After tasting its first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) defeat of the season on Saturday, Jan. 12, Penn State Harrisburg rebounded nicely by handing Keuka an 80-72 loss in game two of the Blue and White's weekend road trip the very next day.

The Lions got a combined 44 points from seniors Thristan Lundy (Philadelphia, Pa. / Samuel Fels) and Jordan Gatchell (Manheim, Pa. / Manheim Central) and sophomore Alberto De Los Santos (Enola, Pa. / East Pennsboro).

Harrisburg jumped out to an early 7-2 lead when Gatchell connected with a three-ball a minute and a half into the game.

Keuka kept things from getting out of hand by putting together a 10-2 run that culminated in a Teddy Tuggles' three-pointer that gave the Storm a 12-9 advantage at the 13:41 mark.

Penn State Harrisburg retook the lead when freshman Jamaal DuBose (Bowie, Md. / Bowie), and sophomores Joey Farthing (Lancaster, Pa. / Hempfield) and Kevin Icker (Scranton, Pa. / Scranton Prep) scored on three-straight possessions.  With seven minutes left on the clock, the Lions had their largest advantage of the half at 27-21.

Keuka answered again and Jared Wagner's old-fashioned three-point play tied the game at 29 with 1:54 left in the half.

Harrisburg junior Will Doyle (Franklin, Va. / Tidewater Academy) responded with a three-ball of his own on the ensuing possession and freshman Arick Sodini (Manalapan, N.J. / St. John Vianney) knocked down a jumper to give the visitors a slim 34-31 lead heading into the break.

Back-to-back layups by De Los Santos and Lundy upped the Lions advantage to 43-35 with 17:31 left in regulation. 

When the Storm cut the deficit to three points, the duo of De Los Santos and Lundy once again pushed the Lions' lead to eight when the sophomore hit a shot from downtown and the senior converted two free throws.

But Keuka responded with a 7-0 run and Conor Boyer's layup made it 50-49 Penn State Harrisburg at 12:44 mark of the second half. 

Over the next ten minutes, the Lions failed to create any real separation.  Battling back-and-forth with the Storm, Harrisburg's largest lead during the stretch reached no more than five points.  Then, leading 69-66 with just under two minutes left in the game, Keuka went ice cold in crunch time and the Blue and White made the home team pay.

The Storm went nearly two minutes without scoring a point and was forced to foul to try to stay in it.  Lundy, De Los Santos, sophomore Ethan Strayer (East Petersburg, Pa. / Hempfield) and Gatchell refused to cooperate and sank their foul shots down the stretch to seal the victory and give Keuka just its second conference loss of the season.

Despite being outrebounded and outshot from the field and from beyond the arc, the Lions came out on top.  The most telling stats came courtesy of Harrisburg's stingy defense and up-tempo play.  The Blue and White forced 22 Keuka turnovers and scored 31 points off of them.

Lundy led the way offensively by pouring-in 18 points and going 8-8 from the charity stripe.  Gatchell netted 15, grabbed four rebounds and dished-out four assists.  De Los Santos scored 11, swiped four steals and collected three boards. 

Strayer added nine tallies off the bench and Sodini scored eight in addition to recording four steals.  Farthing and DuBose netted six points apiece while Doyle assisted on four buckets.

The victory improved Penn State Harrisburg's record to 7-9 overall and 4-1 in NEAC play.  That strong win-loss total kept the Blue and White tied with Penn State Berks atop the league's South Division standings.  

The Lions return home to host conference opponent Gallaudet on Wednesday night, Jan. 16.
