MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has named Penn State Harrisburg junior guard Steve Jones (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) the men's basketball Co-Student Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Sunday, Jan. 1.
The Harrisburg grad earned the award thanks to his school history-making performance in the Lions' 83-75 win over Susquehanna on Thursday, Dec. 29. The speedy guard netted a career-high 39 points, the most any Penn State Harrisburg player has scored since the blue and white began NCAA play, to go along with his seven rebounds and six assists. Jones also excelled on defense where he recorded a game-best five steals. He is currently leading the conference in steals per game with an impressive 4.3 average.
