Resinger's 25 Points Boost Penn State Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions improved to 7-8, (7-2 NEAC) with their win Sunday over visiting Morrisville State, 94-85. Junior transfer David Reisinger (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) led the Lions with a career high 25 points.

The Nittany Lions set the pace for the first half as Reisinger hit a trifecta just seconds into the contest. Resiginer scored the first nine points for the Nittany Lions to jump out to an early 9-2 lead. Penn State Harrisburg continued to showcased their shooting abilities knocking in 58.6% from the floor and connecting on 6-of-10 three pointers. Penn State Harrisburg led for the entirety of the first half but the Mustangs lurked just a few points behind. At the half the score was 51-42 in Penn State Harrisburg's favor.

The Nittany Lions continued their impressive shooting effort through the second half. The Lions finished at 58.5% from the floor and 57.9% from the 3-point line. Three-point sniper Nick Liddell (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) sank 14 points and shot 4-5 from the arc.

Foul trouble plagued both teams in the second half as fifty total fouls were charged and three key players fouled out. The Lions connected on 21-26 free throws for a season best 80.8%.

Morrisville State had four players in double figures. Wayne Turner led all Mustang scorers with 18 points and five assists. Bryan Eddy added 17 points and eight rebounds.

The Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions will host SUNY IT on Saturday, January 22 and SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, January 23. Tip-off for both games is slated for 2:00PM.
