Washington and Lee: 6-7 Overall

How it Happened:

The Nittany Lions would come out of the starting gate with the same intensity they've showed throughout most of the series.  The game would begin with 3 Lions reaching base on a throwing error, hit by pitch and a walk to load the bases with no outs.  The Generals troubles wouldn't stop there as Casey Winters would also be walked to drive in a run and keep the bases loaded.  Zach Koroneos would double down the right field line driving in two Harrisburg runners.  The Lions would force a pitching change shortly after while scoring two more runs to lead 5-0 at the end of the first.

Mark Artley would make short work of the Washington and Lee batters giving up only two hits in 6.0 innings.  He fanned 10 batters in his winning effort.  The Lions would continue their offensive dominance in the middle innings, scoring 2 runs in both the fourth and fifth innings from a Bret Williams 2 RBI single and Tyler Aug double.

The Lions would attack again in the eighth inning.  With two outs, Scott Angstadt would come into pinch hit.  He would reach 2nd base on a throwing error that would set up the blue and white. Zach Koroneos would single to score Scott, while Miguel Torres would triple in his next at-bat to bring in Zach.  Finally, Ryan Kennington would enter the game and single to score Torres and the Lions would go up 12-0.

Scott Angstadt would earn an RBI in his next at-bat in the top of the ninth inning to give the Lions a 13-0 lead going into the Generals final opportunity.  W&L would get on the board with a lead off homerun, but their luck wouldn't strike further as Brad Richards would shut down the next three batters and secure the rubber match victory for Penn State Harrisburg.
