Penn State Harrisburg Swept by Salisbury

Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team hosted the No. 22 Salisbury University Seagulls for a CAC matchup at home. Salisbury swept the series 10-0 and 14-3 on Saturday April 8th.

Salisbury jumped out to an 8-0 advantage in the first three innings scoring seven runs between the first and second inning. Salisbury drew a walk and a wild pitch to record their first two runs before adding a two-run RBI single later in the inning. The Seagulls recorded seven runs on five hits throughout the first and second inning. Salisbury extended their lead to 10-0 in the top of the eighth with two more runs on a sacrifice fly.

Game Two Highlights: Salisbury 14 Penn State Harrisburg 3

In game two, Salisbury came out strong once again with a home run with bases loaded to lead 4-0 at the end of the first inning. The visitor's scored their second home run in the top of the third from Jack Barry. Penn State Harrisburg found their stride in the bottom of the third with a ground ball to second from Justin O'Dell. Josh Brubaker recorded two RBI's next at bat with a single as he sent Bret Williams and David Klein to home plate. Salisbury quickly regained momentum in the fourth inning with four more runs before adding two more in the fifth off of a double. In the seventh inning the Seagulls recorded their third home run of the game before a ground ball in the ninth.
