Lion's Fall at Home 13-8 to Elizabethtown

Middletown, Pa.- After an exciting weekend for the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team, the Lion's looked to get their fifth straight win when Elizabethtown College came to town. The Blue Jays proved to be a strong competitor in their 13-8 win over Harrisburg.

Game Highlights:

The Blue Jays started off strong in the first inning with an early 3-0 lead thanks to two ground balls and a single to the Lion's short stop. The visitors added three more to their tally in the second and third inning on a wild pitch and an error by the second basemen. Penn State Harrisburg found their stride in the bottom of the third as Brett Arney reached first on an error by the first basemen. Arney advanced to third on a wild pitch as Scott Angstadt Jr. reached home plate. On the next play, Justin O'Dell advanced to second on an error by the Blue Jay's pitcher as Arney was able to find home. Zachary Koroneos singled to right field to finish out the inning for the Blue and White as Elizabethtown led 6-4.

In the top of the fourth, Elizabethtown brought in three more runs to extend their lead by 5 runs. In the sixth inning, the visitors ended with three more runs thanks to two singles and a wild pitch by Harrisburg. Penn State Harrisburg's Chris Iocca scored in the sixth inning off a ground ball by Jackson Struve. The Lion's finished with a strong seventh inning thanks to a single from Josh Brubaker and Tyler Aug followed by a ground ball to the short stop by Iocca.
