Danville, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team clinched its series finale with non-conference opponent Averett 6-2 on Monday at Owen-Fulton Field.

Penn State Harrisburg got things started in the top of the second as Tom Denniston grounded out to the pitcher, advancing Scott Angstadt Jr. to third and Chris Iocca to home plate. Jackson Struve singled to the middle on the next play as Angstadt made it the whole way home to give Harrisburg an early 2-0 lead over the home team. In the bottom of the third Averett put one run on the board with a sacrifice fly ball to left field.

A pair of lead off of walks in the fourth put Zachary Koroneos to home plate before David Klein singled up the middle. Tom Denniston and Chris Iocca capitalized off Klein's single for two more runs to lead 5-1. Averett added one more run in the 8th with a double to left center before Harrisburg added one final run in the 9th from Justin O'Dell. Nick Domenici grabbed his first win of the year at pitcher with 2 strike outs and only one run given up throughout the match. Jackson Struve and David Klein led for the Lion's with two RBI's each.
