Penn State Harrisburg Drops Double Header to Washington and Lee

Lexington, VA.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team struggled on the road on Saturday March 4th at non-conference opponent Washington and Lee. The Lion's dropped their first game 10-0 and fell in the second 10-6.

Game 1:
The Lion's were held to just three hits in game one by pitcher Tom Concklin. Zachary Koroneos singled to right filed in the second before getting out at second base as Alex Cline reached on a fielder's choice. David Klein tried to get things started for the Lion's in at the top of the third with a single to the pitcher. Harrisburg was unable to get on the board as Washington and Lee cruised to a 10-0 win in game one.

Game 2:
In game two, the Generals scored seven unanswered runs in a 10-6 come from behind victory over Penn State Harrisburg. The Lion's got on the board for the first time all afternoon in the top of the third thanks to a sacrifice fly from Justin O'Dell, sending teammate Tyler Aug to home plate. Jackson Struve and David Klein were sent home by Bret Williams double down right field to tie the game up 3-3. In the top of the fourth Harrisburg grabbed three runs from Ethan Kell, Scott Angstadt Jr, and Kell to lead the Generals 6-3. Kell scored off of a sacrifice fly by Alex Cline while Klein sent Struve and Angstadt home with a double to center field. The Generals cut the lead to one, 6-5, in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single. The home team dominated the seventh inning with three RBI's and four runs to pull ahead 9-6.
