Lion's Fall in Extra Innings to Marywood

Scranton, Pa.- After grabbing an early 2-1 lead, the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team fell in the 11th inning to non-conference opponent Marywood. The home team hit a single in extra innings to beat the Lion's 5-4.

Penn State Harrisburg grabbed an early 2-1 lead in the first inning after the Lion's brought in 2 unearned runs on a fielding error by Marywood. The home team's first run was earned on a sacrifice fly to center field. The Lion's went back up 3-1 in the fourth off of an error by the second basemen. Harrisburg grabbed their final run of the afternoon in the seventh off of a walk by Travis Van Houten. The Lion's struggled offensively for the remainer of the game as Marywood tied the game up in the bottom of the ninth. The Pacer's brought home the win in the 11th inning off of a single to left field.
 

Penn State Harrisburg will return home on Tuesday April 26th. The Lion's will take on Albright at 4 pm.
