  • 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #4 Baseball Places Two on All-Conference Team

    After a very exciting season for the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team, sophomore Mark Artley earned all Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) honors as a first team selection. Freshman Brendan Riotto nabbed second team recognition due to his successful year as the reliever.

    Throughout the baseball season the CAC proved why they are looked upon as one of the best if not the best conference in division III for baseball. The CAC had four teams ranked in the top 25 through the year including two teams in the top ten during the course of the year. The Lions beat every team in the CAC at least once throughout the course of the year including all four teams ranked in the top 25: Frostburg State, Salisbury, Christopher Newport, and Mary Washington.

    Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.

    Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team hosted Juniata this afternoon for their final game of the 2016 season. The Lion’s dominated the first seven innings before Juniata made a final effort in the eighth to overcome Harrisburg’s early 13-0 lead. Harrisburg held on to win 15-11.

    Frostburg, Md.- After clinching their first-ever Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) playoff spot this weekend with a win over #11 Salisbury, the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team traveled to the #1 seeded Frostburg State this afternoon to take on the Bobcats. The Lion’s dominated Frostburg, scoring 9 straight runs in just two innings. Harrisburg went on to beat the Bobcats, 14-0.
