Crammer’s Big Day Earns Him NEAC Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Welcome to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), Travis Crammer (Cerritos, Cal. / Cerritos).  In just his third week of play as a member of Penn State Harrisburg's baseball team, the junior infielder picked up his first NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week award.  The league bestowed the honor upon him for his tremendous offensive output during the week ending Sunday, Mar. 17.

After the Blue & White fell to Mount Aloysius 1-0 in a pitcher's duel on Friday, Mar. 15, Crammer led the charge against Penn State York two days later.  In the first game of a doubleheader against the opposing Lions, Crammer launched two homeruns in his first two at-bats and recorded three RBIs before scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Harrisburg defeated York 6-5.

He followed it up by hitting his third homer of the afternoon in the second game, a 16-1 trouncing of the visitors.  He finished the nightcap 3-5 from the plate with three runs scored, two RBIs and a walk.  For the week, Crammer racked up impressive batting (.462) and slugging (1.154) percentages as well as a stout on-base percentage (.500).  He currently leads the league in total bases with 28.
